We're kicking off the Capital Cities Tour right here in our hometown of Albany. Of course you and I know that Albany is the capital but a lot of Americans think that it is New York City. Why? Well for a lot of reasons. First off- NYC has the most people out of any city in America-more than 8 million! For over 120 years people coming to America have passed by the Statue of Liberty on their way to their new lives in this country. Even world leaders come to New York City to the United Nations to work out problems between countries. Of coursed, for me as a musician New York City will always represent the birth of hip hop. You can check out all kinds of different artists like Jay Z, Nas, KRS1, 50 Cent-all of them come from New York.
Of course New York is not all about New York City though. We also have huge mountains known as the Adirondacks. If you have ever gone to the Great Escape-you've visited the Adirondacks. And did you know that the biggest farming industry in New York is dairy? So the last thing I'll ask you before we get started is "Ya'll got your milk?"
